Where some of us grew up, Zoon is the “We”: the group. And in the same word echoes the zoo, a space of confinement and gaze between the living, the collective, and the enclosure where our artistic field unfolds. Confinement, often seen as a constraint, becomes a space for reappropriation.

Zoon is a multidisciplinary artists’ collective, born from the coexistence of sensitivities and the friction between practices: visual arts, performance, documentary, writing, sound, installation, and the tension between the intimate and the group.

By responding to the needs of the cultural and economic ecosystem and connecting it to creation, Zoon becomes a porous organism, weaving links between the intimate, the political, the individual, and the collective.

The collective gesture enables individual signature, and vice versa. Our projects are based on porosity, contamination, and interdependence. Friction, Hybridization, Contamination. Being part of Zoon means belonging to a plasticity that resists the fragmentation of identities and the commodification of imagination.

Johan Baron ZOON Symphony 1 / 2 / 3:
A space of encounter for hybrid personalities — visual artists, designers, performers, artisans, musicians, and storytellers — who blur the boundaries between genres, formats, mediums, and narratives.

In the importance of time, dialogue, and making together. The collective supports both individual practices and collaborative projects, convinced that exchange fuels innovation and that research opens new forms.

We advocate for a free, inclusive, and cross-disciplinary creativity. A professional playground for exploration, where multiple identities are embraced as a strength and hybridity becomes a language.

Zoon rejects closed codes and exclusionary systems. Where doors open easily for some, we choose to open windows for others — acknowledging the structural barriers artists face depending on their identities, backgrounds, and stories.
